For Wes

by Rachel Pierce -

The door was locked
The winows were closed
Yet you found a way in
And the love began to grow

My heart was cold
And damp and dark
Yet you started a fire
With just one little spark

My life was empty
I felt lonely and afriad
Yet you calmed my fears
And brought a smile to my face

I could thank you
For making my life now complete
But it never would match
This love you've given to me

So let me just say
Although simple, it's true
Forever and a day
I'll be loving you
