Yonah Dear sir , In 1949 thousands of Yemenite Jews moved to Israel from Yemen. Prior to this move they were gathered in Camps in the port CITY OF Eden suffering of Hunger , diseases and other sever problems. The death rate was huge. At that time that area was under the British Government. My sister who was then approx. 2 years old, was at the local Hospital. My mother who was the healthy one in the family, managed to go to the hospital from time to time for a short Visit. Mind you, the situation then was chaotic. One day my mother goes for another visit Just to find out that her Daughter disappear. No clear explanation was given ! She was named Chamama(Arabic) Yonah (Hebrew) . If she is alive she would be between 60-70 years old , approx. 5 feet tall . The most important Sign is: SHE HAS A SCAR ON HER LEFT ARM BURNED BY BOILING WATER . My name is Joshua Lee Snow and my mothers maiden name is Chong Im Pak in korea it would be Pak Chong Im. She is approximately between the ages of 46-49 and is from Mokpo, South Korea according to my father. My dads name is Jeff Snow and they met in korea while he was there in the US Army. He brought her back here to IL. I was born May 11, 1984 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL and she left when i was between the ages of 6months to a year old and i dont know what she looks like due to the fact she took all pictures of her and I. She didnt show up to the divorce/custody hearing so i have no record of a social security number or her whereabouts. My father said she had another child, a girl, that was put up for adoption and was adopted by a military man in Alaska. who knows how many kids she's had since me. Her last known whereabouts were somewhere in CA. I dont know where to begin my search so i figured this is a start. Any information would be greatly helpful and appreciated! I don't know much about him, other than his name is Gary and he was temporarily stationed at RCAF Stn. Val D'Or, Quebec, Canada as a member of the United States Air Force. My mother, whose husband had just left her, was a member of the Canadian Air Forces at that same time. I was born in January of 1966 so this would have been around April/May of 1965. I do know that Gary had already gone back to the States by the time my mother found out she was pregnant with me, so he has no knowledge of my existence. I want nothing from this man, other than to learn more about him and his history. If anyone knows of someone that was stationed in Val D'Or at this time who fits the bill, I would appreciate your help. Linda also had another child prior, a boy, and gave him to the same family in okla......he was given away first so he is a bit older. the only people who know the family are all deceased so there is no one to ask> my step mom just passed away wednesday the 19th and my youngest brother who is my stepmom and dads son feels totally lost now. daddy died in 1980, our grandparents are recently deceased and we're all at a loss! there are 4 of us who are full blooded siblings and our youngest brother Dean feels like he has no blood relatives left except his 8 yrs old daughter, Lauren. my sister thinks the people who "adopted" the kids was named Harris or Harrison. My father's name was David Michael Stroope. Please help us find our half-sister and my younger brothers sister and half-brother. We were born in 1970 and 1973. His father went by the name Red Ryan. His last know whereabouts was 100 Mile House British Columbia. I have one old old picture he was blond and blue eyed. When he was married to my mom he drove taxi- cab. I believe he would be 57 years old. He apparently came from a large family and they lived near the beach in Hamilton.
