Dragon Love

by M. Grace Tobin - Not entered

The Dragon Love awakes -
His eyes, pitch islands
On sapphire oceans,
Open for the first time
In wide-eyed intrigue,
and kiss the darkness.
Thin white steam plumes
Billow from his nostrils.
Magenta flames trickle
into the tranquil blue.
Consuming eyes and flames
Protrude from his mountain lair.
Observing his inherited domain,
He watches the innocent, naive,
Lonely, and the unguided lost.
Rising tentatively, cautiously,
He spied his prey.
Then he takes her swiftly,
Ravaging her with all his dormant passion,
and strangely, she welcomes him.
She screams in ecstasy,
Laughing in hideous fear -
The Dragon Love is here.
