LOVE- AS I SEE IT- SOMETIMES.. ----------------- Two eyes meet across a room As evil Cupid shoots his arrow of doom He shoots across he knows no mercy And the gods writhe and watch in glee Confusion, delusion, is this an illusion? That familiar surge of adrenalin infusion hearts pound, lips go dry,for words you fumble In utter chaos to each other they stumble Nervous gestures and foolish smiles The plot thickens, silence prevails And bodies move closer, minds mesh Is it matters of the heart or cravings of the flesh? Questions, enigmas and probes amid dates Trials and tests- temptations of fate the honeymoon is on, each one at their best And now, for only now, fears at rest. So Time creeps, crawls, walks and then flies the high is over, you descend from the skies drawn closer by need, fear holds you in bay fear-is this real and here to stay? The struggle for Contentment-love's greatest foe As your mind says yes, but your body whispers no Forces of evil lead paths astray Lust lays in wait as you fall easy prey The fabric of joy,fragile threads woven in vain Ripped by passion ; evanescent ecstacy for eternal pain? the toil, the trouble, the labor, without gain mud castles left to the fury of the rain. Oh all knowing human why do you hurt? You err not in ignorance, when your heart you desert the agony, the hurt, in remorse you now languish not one but now two, souls in anguish and again time creeps, crawls, walks and then flies you say you have changed or do you move in disguise? and there, alas! ..two eyes meet across the room Ah Cupid!
