A Child was born, a child grew up, Not knowing his father, sure made it rough. He had been told, his father had died. Needing a father, this young boy had cried. The boy was conceived, and the father not told. Years passed by, and the mother lost hold. The search for his father, wasn't that hard. Five blocks down, he stood in the yard. He approached his father, with worry and fear, and explained who he was, and why he was here. The father stood shocked, and in disbelief. The years he had missed, will now cause him grief. What does one say, to someone not known? "I missed you my son, Come in welcome home." Not being that easy, the father said "come" Inside they went, as father and son. Once was thought, the other didnt exist. Funny how life, can take a strange twist. They met as strangers, but have opened a door. Someday soon, they'll be STRANGERS no more.
Reason for writing:
I am a Leo. And well I was inspired to submit this poem, to see if I had any REAl talent, I have others, but a good % of people that have read my poems, say this one is the best. But also many say some of my others. I was looking for a place to have some criticism or appreciation for my work. Hopefully I will find BOTH here. thank youBirth sign: Not entered
