Beyond the fatuity and coming calamity of this lapse, Here dwells, cast in ruby, violets and spring incense, Shimmering, shearing at light by its very incandescence, Valedictory, the presence of, carved from the magnificence Of invention... The Sublime (Guilded in the fabric of artifice). I test thee: Cast forth your doubt; lunge at the crisp Bud of enchantment; carve out a glory from the rip Of a rainbow tear. Bereave, yet conceive from gut and slash Of cleft farce... Splinterred lips mouth mockery at your gash ! (Rains, maybe pour as vehement tears upon the rape of inception.) "Artistry", did invoke King Sire, Minister of Firmament, Garbed in rose robe, gaudy dew festooning, "Is the shackle of the conceited !..." Roadies, crooners, belligerent admirers, buffoons, Stacked against the fences, yelp their joy with dolphin clap. "Gothic has spoken ....!" Courtly advisers and peasant gratuities Offer pedance. By encyclical decree the Word reverberates. Ramshackle forces web their grip, imbibing of serenity On the whim of a Golden ray. "Yet magic Persists !" On a trellis grew guilded moths As a shower in aflutter of silver. (Shimmering powders of beating wings; Curtains of light laying to rest.) A grave of power, of rogue romanticism, Swelled grey, over the moist depths Of a dark, richer soil. Embers still glowing Through sundered recesses and cracked oak. Pearls of light , on a sail of reflection, Give life by giving the shallow their dues. Clean, shaken free of buoyant overriding, Do the depths clamour ... And suddenly (Crystalline growth over figurations as yet unseen), Proclame structure and rupture: Remnant and sepulchre. Bridging violence and the serene, The clench of the extreme, Power engages in the textural By igniting the figurative: Lurid monotony clasped in a gigue. Fugue, to lose ... yet gain with will, structure. Freedom to cast asunder, jettison... Fly with one's pirates of fantasy; Wings cleaving, as the glide cross-sects, The shimmer of the possible with the clasp of the tangible !!! Poets drink of Spirit... And do die from it !!!
Reason for writing:
This is an impressionist's experiment in transcription, using a musical form, namely the Baroque Fugue, as subject, counter-subject and platform for maybe parallel excursions into the "Ether of art". It is also the product of Port and Bach !!! andBirth sign: Not entered
