Blue, Yellow, Purple, Pink, or Gray

by Tara McElroy Pisces - Not entered

Blue, yellow, purple, pink, or gray
A single, solitary flower
A dot of colour, far away
In a lush green field of
Blue, yellow, purple, pink, or gray

Blue, yellow, purple, pink, or gray
It could be a pansy
Or a daisy, I say
It could be a rose of
Blue, yellow, purple, pink, or gray

Blue, yellow, purple, pink, or gray
They open up in the morning
And they close at the end of the day
A colourful flower of
Blue, yellow, purple, pink, and gray.

Reason for writing:

To me this poem resembles friendship, a beautiful flower,
only special friendships last a lifetime, or in my poem, a
day. To me the poem says, keep friendships, if you can,
They're worth it.
