On Renae 1

by Larry Cohen, Taurus - Not entered

My dearest, sweetest love of mine, Renae
I dream and dream of you, warm in my arms
never enough hours in any day
for cherishing your many glowing charms

Eyes, forever blue and bright in your face
I pray for your good though we'll never share
simple elegance; character of grace
happiness of the world in your heart there

So much beauty in holy human shape
love drips into trusty, lusty mind-show
but only in that cheap, empty escape
do I feel the brush of you I'll not know

I'm happy for you with someone you've found
even if my heart's song is without sound

Reason for writing:

I've been in love with this girl from afar for many years.
I always wanted to publish it; shout my love with it.
