backseat expansion

backseat expansion

please breathe like a carbonite dream in a sunset together
with lovers entwined in the back of a cab with the motor still
running and bodies unpeeling with daises unfolding outside of
my drawers.
don¹t stop we¹ve just started and sorry you¹re blue but I
have my needs and I have desires and I have my mottoes to keep
me from cracking apart like the heart of a lover that¹s
failing so peel off my pants like denim pajamas and just let
me stay and pretend that I love you so you¹ll give me head and
I¹ll leave before dawn with a note by the door saying call me
round seven in bridgetown new guinea I¹ll hole up there
waiting for you to forget me.
You¹ll find me curled up in a shack without shutters and
cobwebs in corners where mattresses musty smell richer than
incense and fouler than virtue I¹ll lay you down sweetly
submitting completely in dust filled down beds without covers
around us our sex play unfolds here and I snore contently so
wrap me securely in passion and dread where the minutes die
slowly in dreams so peculiar that you can¹t refuse me and I
can¹t ignore you but only remember the wisps of your name as
once it was spoken with flirting and hinting our aim to
indulge in the lusts that we shared.
I¹m charging and weaving myself in around you submitting to
lusting so lost in a moment where time can¹t stand still
and the forest unfettered grows wilder than promise my feet
rest on tree roots your hair mingles freely with bugs while
the dead leaves form bedspreads laid out just like overused
condoms our feet intertwine as I call out your name to your
heated replies whispered close to my ear spoken close to your
thighs
your innocent skin becomes pliant your body reliant on
tracings that pour from my fingers exploring the form that
you¹ve chosen to taunt me entice me pretend to seduce me I use
you to free me from moral constraints so we make love in
fields and we make love in fields where the angels fear
stepping.
the lullabies dawning on sweet lips as I feel you kiss me
and suck me and leave me alone and beguiled and softened like
butter left out in the heat of a flame borne romance our open
mouths promising permanence all and all fading in one stray
eyed glance.
the intrigue of souls played from end through beginning as
snakes intertwine around frailty and viperous lusting for
cab fare while all of the bullshit lies dead in the fleeting
mid afternoon sun.

Reason for writing:

I felt like writing something different. Something with a driving rhythm, probably because I've been listening to a lot of techno recently, and I like the insistent bassline. The underlying image is of making out withsomeone in the back of a cab, where their form and identity is unimportant, and you get more and more wrapped up in lust and not caring who you're with that you can't even tell where you are.
This will definitely be in my second book. My first book, published at the end of my senior year of high school was decent, I suppose, but I've gotten a lot more in touch with the drive and rhythm of poetry as it is spoken, and I think a lot of my newer work reflects that.
I relish comments and reactions, and I have plenty of other material to be revised, so if anyone wants to write to me and see some of the other stuff that's going on. i hope you liked the poem.
