Lost in Paradise

by Emily Warburton, Pisces - Not entered

I met a wise man with a cracked face
Who told me he found paradise for his death bed.

'The path is lined with banana trees
which throw soft shadows on teh pebbles
at the endis a sascading plume of water,
of which each day I count my blessings.'

'If you walk with me I will show you how life can breath
Pour peace into your heart adn set your spirit free.'

'But what if, wise man, I cannot turn back?'

'If you are prepared to step over the edge
to find eternal happiness
I will make sure that your soul is safe'

I took a step forward
and saw just in time
His cracked smile fade
To reveal the face of Death
