the midnight train

by Emily Warburton, Pisces - Not entered

tension builds
beads of sweat
frantic minds inquire
tea is gone
none is made
2 o'clock has rolled around
"We missed the midnight train"
softer now
"We missed the midnight train"
bloodshot eyes
no one knows the stranger
that enters
depths of expanding minds
no one cares
that the wind has changed
people never will
a race of purity
was never once
and most likely never will

Reason for writing:

I was just tired one night, and I couldn't sleep. so i wrote
this, hoping that i would shed some light on my life...
umm..guess i thought wrong.
