Snow Drifts

by Ben Howard - Not entered

Snow Drifts...

falling and rolling
to it's destination
concentric shapes
of beauty
cascading down
to earth,
flowing down
undetermined paths
of beauty
spilling upon me
merging with my eyes
enveloping, fading
away my stance
into a stoned space
beyond everything
as my mind numbs
and my eyes close
to find a better place
among snow drifts
for but one second
of infinity...

Reason for writing:

I've been writing poetry for about 3 months now and
I've found that a lot of people like it and find something
that helps them in it, a glimpse of a world they can't find
for themshelves. So I continue to write and to show more and
more people. It's only a logical step to find a way to
implore the internet in this.
The poem above was written as I watched the snow
fall outside my window and besides that I'm giving no more
description because it means something to me and something
else to you. Poetry shouldn't try to define what it's saying
because it's saying millions of different things, depending
upon whose eyes you see it through. So I refrine from defining
my inspiration beyond the situation in which I wrote the
poem. So I implore you to find your own defination not only
in what I have written but what everyone else writes.
Because what you think is infinitly more useful than what
anyone else does to you.
I'll take what ever comments anyone wants to write.
I love hearing about peoples reactions, whether bad or good
it doesn't matter.
	- Ben
