Denial

by Ken Allgood / Libra - Not entered

As the time rolls by the fear returns,
Have I taken so long, my life has burned?
I never thought life could be so unkind,
And then I loved you,
I saw things as they really were,
Not just as I believed,
How many times we said "it'll work out",
And yet there's no reprieve,
The longer we tarry, the less we feel,
And less is the reason to depart,
Are we to fall into obscurity,
Never to acheive our hopes and dreams,
Like so much chaff in the breeze?

Reason for writing:

    The desire to share.
