The Silver Fire of the Night

by Emily (Pisces) - Not entered

The crickets sing like choirs of whispering sighs;
The trees are snoring softly, far away.
Night elves are laughing merrily the way
A child will laugh with innocence in her eyes.
The moon has sprouted wings, and now she flies
Across the milky night; She seems to say,
"All earth rejoice; I've driven off the day,
And many hours shall pass before sunrise."
Upon the earth she sheds a magic light
That creeps into my room, to my delight--
The guardian and symbol of the night.
When late at night I lie awake in bed,
Awaiting sleep while weary hours tread,
The moon puts pleasant dreams into my head.

Reason for writing:

    From the window in my room, I can see the moon shinning through.
Have you ever really looked at the moon and seen the face of the man?
Well I have, and it brings me a sense of peace so i just had to write a poem about it!!!
