Two in the Morning Lady

by Jim Rabner Virgo - Not entered

She sits by her mirror..
wondering when it all began..
She sits by her mirror..
she's come home alone again..
No one had asked her to dance..
or asked for her name..
But when she was younger she danced..
and they all knew her name..
From barroom to bedroom..
she never thought of growing old..
No need for children husband,,
a home of her own..
Until this morning she wokeup..
her bed was empty and cold..
Nobody wants a two in the morning..
lady grown old..
he said lie to me mirror..
tell me i'm not what I see..
Lie to me mirror..
say it's not really me..

Reason for writing:

    thoughts from a barroom stool
