My Wife

by Blue Eyes (Sean G.) - Not entered

You are my genlte subtle rose
Light shines down upon you face
Why they despised you no one knows
But now you shine on me with holy grace

I wish I could only tell you how
How much I wish you here
My tears of love sting my eyes now
For you below me is my greatest fear

I leave you now alone in peace
I wish I could be
My love shines like the golden fleece,
For my wife that has left me.

Reason for writing:

The reason I wrote this poem was for a school project
but I found that I liked writing poetry so I continued to
write more. But, the thing that people criticize me now
about is that I am not old enough to experience my wife
dying. Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite poet.
