Lost

by Chris -- Aries - Not entered

Oh horror! Oh sorrow!
Oh weight of burdens born
Humiliation of defeat
The soul is shred and torn
A ripping of the heart strings
A wrenching of the brain
A cataclysmic vertigo
Of unrelenting shame
The drenching waves of cold, wet guilt
Give pain I cannot bide
The hailstones of ambiguity
Pound 'gainst my skull inside
What tragedy has brought me here
What bleakness is my fate
For I came to seek redemption
But I arrive too late.

Reason for writing:

I write all of my bleakest poems in math class. This one was a particularly dreadful day in geometry.
