NO CURE

by Kerry Nitz - Virgo - Not entered

"I'm scared of no";
"No what?", she cries;
"Scared to grow
And live", he replies,
"Scared to live and learn
And feel and cry";
"You shouldn't be so stern",
She says, "Just try".

"I'm scared to try!",
He screams aloud;
"But why ever why?
You seem so proud";
"I'm scared of shame...
And being shot down",
"But there is no blame",
She says, with a frown.

Reason for writing:

    For a period from about Sept 90 to about Nov 94
I wrote something like about 400 poems. Those who
have read them have generally told me to have a
go at publishing them, but frankly I'd like a second
opinion. The origins of this poem I can't rightly remember
but it dates to about Nov 92, I think.
