The mirror

by Cullen Kasunic (libra) - Not entered

The Mirror

it allows us not to see only ourselves but our souls.

all it takes is a passing glance
Poof!

You see your true self.

Staring
Staring into the mirror
the mirror to your soul.

deeper you see
down into every aspect of your life
problem or profit
true or contrived,
large or small
important or trivial.

Each shows itself
in the form of a small mark
or line
or discoloration
on your face.

The whole picture
fits together and
comes into light.
For one brief second
you have the answer to your problem.

Alas, that answer is too complex
and long
to store or remember,
so you turn yourself away
from the sheet of insight
(not just sight)

Only to find now
that you are just as clueless
as before.

Reason for writing:

walking past the mirror and looking at myself and how
I have changed and continue to change and how it is
"reflecting" on me
