As it turns slowly, surrounded by darkness we sleep Unnoticing and unmoving as opportunities slip by us It's dullness increases as we progress and reveal sombre traces of our transparent personalities We smile, laugh and cry, our lives intercepted by a fate which we've created As we destroy ourselves uncertainly our irrational behaviour makes a mockery of us Unrelentlessly it's beauty dazzles our tainted eyes We contaminate ourselves purposely and murder our brothers for our own self-indulgence No one knows of it's anguish, of the horrors it has seen or of the plague that has been forced upon it as it watches us kill one another and itself
Reason for writing:
