Masks

by Alisha Larson Gemini - Not entered

We all wear masks
So it is impossible to reveal
Our train of thought
Or the way we feel

As in those
Who pretend to be your lover
But love is a masquerade
Deep undercover

And there are those
Who pretend
To care what you think
To be your friends

Who are actually not loyal
Not true friends at all
They would not try to catch you
If you happened to fall

In order to find a true friend
You must dig deep inside
Make sure there are no masks
They will use to hide

Reason for writing:

Just to help people realize that even though there are
good friends out there, there are many who will just use
and betray you.
