Reason for writing:

I was inspired to write this poem in sranantongo (surinamese
langurage) while I was writing my 2nd novel, dealing with
a man who promised everything to his beloved.
It means: stay with me, until the dry season is over. I'll
saw the wood, I'll build you a house. When the rain is going
to fall, we shall live inside.
as all of my poems in sranantongo, the small things in life
are central... just as in real life.

Soon my poems and book(s) will be available free on the
internet! Just wait and read this poem page regularly.
