Twisted World

by Shawn Harper - Not entered

Twisted World
-------------

Such a twisted world we live in,
Corrupted from time beginning,
And through the hourglass we see,
The horrors of our making,
And our centuries of taking,
Selfish minds of our inner being,
Or the ignorant notion of our not seeing,
The destruction we cause,
Or perhaps we care not,
Of the infinite path of our earthly desecration,
Or perhaps we see to clear,
As the fading rainbow draws near,
For it is we who have caused its waning light,
Our constant struggle,
Our endless fight,
Our flesh soldiers,
With all their might,
Them versus the unknown foe,
So confused that they fire upon themselves,
All in a twisted world,

Reason for writing:

I wrote this because it came to me without thought and it would be a shame to waste a free gift!
