Beauty and the Beast

by Andrew Starodub: Sagittarius - Not entered

No one could care for me.
Especially not the one I love.
	I, am a freak.
	No one could love me.
	I care for them.
	I care for her.
	I love her.
I love her with all my heart.
	She, is beauty.
	Yet, I am, the beast
What cruel trick has been played on me?
Why must I be like I am?
	I love a girl.
	She is an angel.
	She walks among the clouds.
	She came down from heaven.
	She is divine.
	I, am a creature.
	She is beauty.
	I am the beast.
I could not be of the clouds.
	I am a monster.
One look at me causes pain.
	I cannot be cared for.
	I cannot be loved.
	Not by one so heavenly.
	An angel wouldn't love me.
	She wouldn't love a freak.
	Not her, she is beauty.
	I am the beast.
What have I done?
	I must be being punihed.
	What crime is so great,
	What offense so evil,
As to be punished like this?
	She won't love me.
	I am sure of it.
Not one so pure and fine.
	She, is beauty.
	I, am, the beast.

-A. Starodub, The Light Poet

Reason for writing:

What inspired me to write this was being turned down by a girl for the fifth time in my life. I submitted it to help with some of the pain.
