Like dirt in the ground She laughed and she frowned Under my pillow Come see what I found Come see what she brings Along with black rings A soft charm was wrapped In colors and strings A net was then cast A spell that did last And burst like a damn Right into the past Never would I weep Nor ever know sleep With dreams as empty As the oceans are deep
Reason for writing:
This is in reference to an incident which happened at my aunt Vili's house in Athens, Greece some years back. While I was on vacation there and staying with her, she happened accross an item in her son Dino's bedroom which really frightened her. It was a tinky pillow shaped Christian charm about an inch square that was wrapped in strings of different colors and which was supposed to bring a curse upon the house in which it was placed and to whoever stayed there, unless they traveled over water. I personally am not religious but for some reason I do give some creedence to superstitions, probably as homage to the minds power and its connection to the world wide web of the universe. (please excuse the analogy). The find was remarkable to me because what had preceeded it, and what has followed. socrates stamatis june, 96Birth sign: Not entered
