My Godchild

by Matthew Lynam/ Saggitarious - Not entered

You Can not know, the joy that you bring.
The honor I feel is a special thing.
To be chosen by your mother befor your birth.
Is something I will cherish to the ends of the earth.

You will be born in the very first month.
A new beginning in Life and Times.
1997 is your special year.
For you I will shed a happiness tear.

You come into this world concieved in love.
A gift I know from God above.
I am not certain just what I will do.
Will I help you, give you insights true.

We will have a love when we first meet.
Into this world of smiles you greet.
My smile will be the one with Bright eyes.
And a softly sung lullabye.

My Godchild I hope, that your life I can better.
Not only with words but also with love.
We will grow together, your life and mine.
I can't wait for this wonderful time.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this Poem for my friend Robin. I met Robin online
and we became fast friends, she lived a short trip away from
me, so I decided to go down and visit her and her 6 children
and her B/Friend Ken. Well something happened in our visit.
We realized that we would be friends for many years. Robin
Got pregnant in May and she asked me to be her baby's godfather.
I of course accepted, however one of the stipulations was
I had to write a poem for this child. I was under the immpression
that it was an honor to be chosen as a godfather. I was
not aware that I would have to jump through Hoops :))
Anyway, This is for You Robin and my Godchild.
