Getting Fat

by Norb Walker Sag - Not entered

Getting Fat

Just a little bit of this,
and a little bit of that.
Is my little secret,
Of not getting fat.

I do enjoy,
All those goodies.
Especially, those,
Home made cookies.

I like to eat,
That's a fact.
Controlling it,
Is what I lack.

Reason for writing:

I guess we all could use a little self control. This poem
has been selected as a semi-finalist, in the summer 1996
contest, sponsored by the National Library of Poetry. It will
appear in their book of poetry "Through The Hourglass", which
will be available in late 1996. Whether I win or not does
not matter. It's just the fact of being recognized at my age
is gratifying.
