The Quickening

by Dalliance, Libra - Not entered

Mine honour is my life, bothe grow in one, take honour from me, & my life is done.
When in disgrace with fortune man's eyes, I all alone beweep my outcaste state...
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope.
A man would run through fire & water for a heart so kind.
We know eachother's faces, but for our hearts, you know no more of mine, then I of yours, nor I, no more of my own.

Reason for writing:

A fallen loved one was the reason I decided to write this
piece of poetry. What inspired me to submit it was an unseen
love for the person.
