I've been riding down this road.. for some time now.. I counted thirteen thousand.. white lines on the road.. Looking out my rear view mirror.. Checkin' my back door.. as I go.. Ain't seen a county mounty.. or a smokey bear.. but I know they're out there hiding.. somewhere.. and these old eighteen wheels.. are flyin' high.. Hope they don't see me .. as I'm flying by.. This old CB's been talking up a storm now.. I've listened to it chat.. I've heard it roar.. Someone just said.. they seen a smokey.. and they said he's climbing up on my back door.. Oh winding road..I wonder where you're headed.. I wonder whats waiting..down the line.. This old 18 wheeler's flying high.. and so's that smokey.. following behind.. I been buzzin' right along.. for sometime now.. been listening to that siron make its sound.. Lookin' out my rear view mirror.. counting everytime that red light flicks around.. I can hear that smokey at my back door knockin'.. and I don't think that I better hang around.. I don't have time to stop and pick up greenstamps.. so I guess it's time to put the hammer down.. Oh winding road..don't care where you're headed.. these 18 wheels will follow you there.. I'm looking out my rear view mirror.. waving good-bye..to smokey bear..
