Too Late

by Heather Rose - Not entered

Side by side, hand in hand,
sharing secrets, friend to friend,
jumping, laughing,
smiling, crying,
taking part in each ones sorrows,
thinking there will be tommorrow,
something lurking dark and small,
hidden in us one and all,
Peeking out in sunlights rays,
waiting for the perfect day,
Awakened from its slomber sleeping,
from the secrets you are keeping,
till one day the dark light shines,
and you know you had no time,
to tell how much that you had loved,
that person who is now above,
with sharing feelings please don't wait,
because one day you'll be too late.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem in order to send out a message to all who are willing hear and understand.
Till something happens to you, you will always feel safe as though your little
world cannot tumble down and nothing is stronger than you. But as we muct sadly learn
that life doesn't stand still as niether does death. Death holds its own boundaries
and gives us only a glimps of the true death.
