Bonny Scotland

by daisy lynn cain - Not entered

I am all alone in this land
There isn't a soul here, but me
In my mind I wander about the standing stones,
Among the heather is where I long to be.
I ask of you, take my hand.
And lead me to the place,
Where the grasses are green,
And the soil is rich,
And the freezing rain will flow down my face.
The stones and the heather,
They are my friends.
They keep pleasant company.
In the shadow of the lonliness I feel where I am,
They make me feel wild and free....

Reason for writing:

I have always wanted to live in Scotland....it seems like home to me........
