BASEBALL

by Norb Walker Sag - Not entered

Baseball is a game of action.
Always forcing a re-action.
A ball is hit, you run and slide.
You could be tagged, by the other side.

That is an out, three per inning.
If you don't score, you won't be winning.
There are 9 innings, in a game.
For all 9 players, to take the blame.

The object is to score a run.
And if you don't, your called a bum.
The pitcher tries, to strikeout the batter.
And if he does, some fans get madder.

It's fun to yell, to whistle and cheer.
At the world series, time of the year.

Reason for writing:

Baseball is one of my favorite sports.
