Garden at Night

by Victoria (Leo) - Not entered

A walk in the garden comes at night
oh how it can be such a beautiful site
As the moon shines low on the roses fair
and filters through her golden hair
But what is lurking beyond the "gate"
A man who knows he'll seal her fate
He enters into the garden at night
And calms her fear with a touch so light
They waltz together down the marble floor
And gaze at each other, wanting more
But just as the passion begins to bloom
Up comes the sun, down falls the moon
And so he must leave 'fore the light is high
As death will come, she knows not why
As they part their ways she turns to say
Shall we meet here again, on another day?
Turning her face gently to light
Meet me, my sweet, in the garden "at night"
So the story grows, they will meet again
In the garden at night...he knows not when.

Reason for writing:

For the romantic "friend" who keeps a flame burning within me.
