A Fallen World

by Angela Williams/Libra - Not entered

An eye so innocent and true,
saw not pain, but love in everything.
From the dirtiest little worm,
to the natural wonders of the earth.
Corrupted by the evil ways of man,
the love is gone and sin has overcome.
A world seen once wondrous and rare,
now littered with mostly hate and spite.
For this eye to see as it did before,
would be to wipe away the blood that's securely planted there.
An ear so pleasantly soft,
heard not cries, but music in the wind.
The viscous creatures of the land,
the soft sound of rain, a mighty orchestra together.
Screams of fear, sirens sounding of alarm,
tis not music, but violence in the air.
This blood filled eye and overthrown ear,
can't be cured, till the people are gone from here.
You'll know not peace until,
you see love in everything and hear music in the wind.
