Rivers of Darkness

by Stephanie Sullins/Sagitarius - Not entered

The smell of rain
In my hair
On my clothes
Through the air
How did you know?
We see it all
Falling downward
Through the trees
Chasing rainbows
Catching the meloncholy sweetness
The bitter glances
The traces of lust in the air
Our souls are bared
We follow the moonlight
Like glitter on the river
As you plunge the knife
Deeper into my back
The shadows whisper
Taunting us
Craving our love and our hate
Drowning in the breeze
Waiting for the light to go out
Welcoming the rivers of darkness.

Reason for writing:

Well, I don't know...I wasn't really inspired by an event or person to write this poem.
i just write was is going through my head at the time. And almost every poem I have ever written is sad and depressing, but I am not
THAT sad a person!!
