The Wind Weeps for Me

by Celena A. Brown-Scorpio - Not entered

Gently he raps on my window
and whispers my name in the eaves.

I wake to see that he's below
twirling round in the fallen leaves.

His stately waltz enchants me so,
but why does he even court me?

He knows that I can never go
and forever a bachelor he'll be.

Through the willow he starts to moan.
It haunts me as I hear him weep.

Fate leaves him roaming all alone,
but in my soul I'm his to keep.

Reason for writing:

This poem has double meaning: First, it expresses a desire
to be totally free, and second, it expresses a feeling
of being alone and undesirable. Both are feelings all of
us have felt...
