I took a Walk Last Night

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

I took a walk, late last night,
And didn't come home, 'til it was light,
For a moment, I saw you, within the stars,
While making believe that love was ours.

I passed the tree, where we first kissed,
While thinking how much those times are missed,
I turned around and began to cry,
And for a moment thought I might die.

The sun arose and warmed my face,
The sky turned blue, and took my place,
Went back home, nothing else to do,
Can I, Will I, get over you?

Reason for writing:

Every place used to remind me, of the moments I spent with you (Helen), but now I found someone else, that made me forget it's true, and there is one thing, I hope to never have to be apart, and that is to live without Jean Louise's caring heart. She currently resides in Sidney, B.C.
