Your Eyes

by Thelma -- Pisces - Not entered

I look into your eyes, I see so much of you,
The pain, the longing, the uncertainty.
I look into your face, I see your lips,
I wonder if they are filled with tenderness?

I look at you, I see so much, so much to behold,
I look at you, you have no idea of the special things you hold.
You search for happiness and contentment,
I'll all inside of you, waiting to be a part of your life.

It's strange, it's different, something you can't embrace.
But I see in you so much more than you can face.
The past is gone, the future is what you have.
The future and today, that's the focus for you my friend.

I see the troubled looks, I hear your thought so confused.
Accept who you are, the rest comes more easily.
In my eyes, I see a man who has much to off to himself,
And to others whose lives he touches in so many ways.

I am the outside looking in...seeing more than he can at this point.
I spend time with this man, I fee honored and proud.
This man I met, is someone who I've grown fond of in such a short time.
Accept who you are today....leave the past behind!

The selfish me wants to feel your lips, your touch.
The sensible me is waiting for you to be comfortable.
I'll wait, I'm patient, I'll dream, that's me.
Just learn to be comfortable with THEE!

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem for a friend of mine who is struggling with himself.
He's a special person who has much to learn of himself!
