Another Day Without You

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

It's just another day without you,
Just another day of hell,
I hope you're doing fine without me,
'cause I only wish you well.

Wishing we were together,
At least it's how I feel,
If only things were different,
But wishing isn't real.

Since yesterday only brought sorrow,
Maybe tomorrow things will be alright,
But that won't help today,
And that won't change tonight.

Reason for writing:

Written during the evening while in college, pining away over the futility of desire to be with the person, Helen Kaye, that time and place had distanced.
