Watching the Waves coming Ashore

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

Thinking of you there by the seaside,
Wishing so much to be by your side,
I watch the waves from across the sea,
Hoping they may bring you here to me,
And together we may walk along the beach,
Though at this moment, you're out of reach,
But I will keep wishing this today,
That a love such as ours will find a way,
And so I will stare out across the sea,
And hope the waves will bring you here to me.

Reason for writing:

Thinking of Jean Louise, in Sidney, BC, across the Strait of Juan de Fuca
