A Lover's Question

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

You sat in the moonlight,
With tears on your cheek,
I held back emotions,
Although I was weak,

What would touch me deeper,
Tears that fall from your eyes,
Or the feeling despair,
For not knowing why?

Reason for writing:

In the quiet tranquility of the evening twilight, hides the tender, the touched, and the sad.
