Our Little View

by Sally - Scorpio - Not entered

I gaze out of the window
caught as if in trance
The moon shimoozes with the water
as if in private dance

I glance out of the window
morning sunlight in my eyes
drinking in the dewy scene
to re conjure as the day goes by

I watch out of the window
seabirds, mustering the clouds
The wind builds to crescendo
thunder bursts, unsettling hidden crowds

I look out of the window
and for the first time I see
what I've missed time and again
our little view, my tranquillity

Reason for writing:

To express appreciation for the things we sometimes take
for granted in life.
