So many fond memories of yester-year the womens' movement, and the prom Sitting in the soda shop with friends who've since moved on. The years of disco, of smoking pot songs played by "The Band" People protesting in the streets coming together, and taking a stand. I recall the concert at Woodstock beehive hair-do's, and the twist bell-bottom pants, comic books Those days are sadly missed. Here we are in '96 and our biggest fear is Aids The groups we now see in the streets are gay, and lesbian parades. Well, thank God for equality the freedom of speech, and of choice The years have brought many changes and as individuals - we each have a voice. We can further our education teach our children to be proud For they're the future generation and their voices should be as loud.
