A Year

by David Shores, aqu - Not entered

In autums leaves I hear the whisper
of the fallen ones along the road,
Tonight the ancient ones Kneel
in reverance to a love so strong and bold ,

Tonight the world awaits in silence to
praise the love of two,
If only they could read my thoughts,
they would know how much I love you,

As the swollen sun rises to kiss the sky
and the shadows of dream worlds still linger in your eyes,
I offer unto you another year
and a love that never dies,

Reason for writing:

This was written for wife on the eve of our first anniversary.
