A young man walks into the grocery store and takes a look around He yells at all the customers to get down on the ground. His hands are shaking, as he draws his gun searching for something to say For he realizes...this is wrong but he's convinced there's no other way. His mama is sick, and they have no food and the rent has got to be paid They're about to cut off the telephone and the welfare cheque's been delayed. With a frightened voice he tries to speak to let everyone know his plan He doesn't want to hurt anyone but lets them know he can. So much yelling, and screaming as they all fall to the floor Suddenly he senses confusion as police crash through the door. In an instant he makes a decision to aim, and shoot the gun An officer shouts, "Drop it son, there's nowhere for you to run." But he pulls the trigger - and they shoot back to his knees...the young man drops He takes a final dying breath as his beating heart quickly stops. Although the scene was tragic life in this town goes on And very few will take notice that this determined young man is gone.
