WAVES

WAVES
Powerful and mighty
Topped with the whitest snow
Up, down, and level
Is all it is able to move
It crashes down
Like a tree being cut
Falling with power
It lays flat
As a paper on the desk
Conforming to its shape
It rises tall
As does the sun
Yet it falls
As does our moods
Never stopping
It goes on forever
Repeating its every move
It's never the same
It changes in moments
All sizes are its form
As us, It is forever.

Reason for writing:

I was inspired to write this poem after a number of
conflicts I had with certain friends. This poem is about
how our moods are constantly changing and how it is
impossible to stay in the same mood, therefore we can't
judge the way a person feels without first considering what
mood they are in.
