Silent Soul

by A. Morgan (sagitarius) - Not entered

Friend now so far away,
Remembered upon a rainy day--
With love, you brought so much light
And dispelled the dark and lonely night.

A silence falls upon my soul and heart
At the thought of us so far apart...
Many miles spanning a great divide
And love once expressed now locked inside.

For so long, we leaned upon each other,
Becoming as close as sister and brother.
Without you, how can I stand
Without your love and helping hand?

Reason for writing:

This poem was actually written before "Never Again", but is even more poignant
to me now. I wrote this before Jen Dinsel left for college, but now I know that
even when she comes back, she will always be gone from my life.
