out of place

by Steven Lazenby --- Leo - Not entered

Out of place,
In an endless chase,
For somewhere to belong.

I am alone,
I am not a clone,
I was created different.

My mind is unique,
Am I a freak?
Is that why you're so scared?

You can't comprehend,
So you try and defend,
Against which is not a part.

I cannot belong,
To you that is wrong,
But that changes nothing.

I live among you,
will die among you,
Yet you'll never understand.

Out of place,
In an endless chase,
For somewhere to belong.

Reason for writing:

This poem was inspired by my emotions, it is pretty well how I see the world. I wrote it as a way to vent my emotions. I am submitting it because maybe someone might want to perceive the world through my eyes, maybe just to get it out.
