A Dark Room

by Mike Nartker Leo - Not entered

I sit
Curled in the corner
A fetus
In the womb

The air here is warm
Is still
Silence is deafening
In this tomb

Layer of dust
For a blanket
Grey and soft
It helps me sleep

My corpse
Rots in here
Long forgotten
No one weeps.
