Come Again, Rain

by Lawrence J. Henriques, the Snowman - Not entered

Serendipity or by lot,
Two strangers suddenly were caught,
 under a quiet cafe awning
Just as the day was dawning,

The clouds came without warning,
 carrying away the sunny morning,
Showers falling from the sky,
raining as the day passed by,

Bringing water to those below,
To the flowers, so they can grow,
Good it is, and so you see,
It rains both for you, and me,

So never, ever, curse the rain,
Nor ever claim it brings you pain,
Rain has a beauty of its own,
So while they stood there alone,

 Before you may blame anything,
Upon weather, just remember,
One bright thing, a shower may bring,
A fine excuse to be together.

Reason for writing:

Two strangers are suddenly caught in a morning shower, and
take cover, having met through random circumstance, one should
always embrace each moment of life, never knowing what wonderful
occurence will bring the opportunity of your lifetime, such as
the moment that by chance, I met Jean Louise of Sidney, British Columbia
